In Sri Lanka, peraheras (processions) are a flamboyant combination of history, culture, and religion. The legendary Kandy Esala Perahera, which takes place every August, is the pinnacle of the Perahera tradition in Sri Lanka. Other well-known Peraheras in the country are Katarahama Esala Perahera, Devinuwara Esala Perahera, Sabaragamuwa Maha Saman Devala Perahera, and Gangarama Navem Perahera. There are also a lot of regional Peraheras that take place.


Fireball dance is the most common and impressive event at all of these national or regional Peraheras. This dance is based on the ancient traditional dance "Pandam Paliya," which represents the glow of lighting. At the start of a Perehara, fair ball dancers arrive and light the area, driving darkness away from the route so that the following performers and elephant sets are illuminated.


These dancers have been playing with fire balls. The team puts on incredible dances that include a lot of acrobatic motions. The dancers are seen as circles of fire because they are spinning fireballs at rapid paces. The Perahera event is adorned with various fire designs generated by fireball dancers. Fireballs are spun by dancers using their hands, legs, and heads. This dance, without a doubt, draws the attention of everyone watching.


There are cute little fireball dancers showing off their bravery, strength and practise. Fireball dancers continue to enchant people, owing to the risk and beauty of the performance. Without a sure, everyone in the audience is excited to see this dancing event.
